Laughing Gods’ mission is to create sacred objects at the intersection of beauty, scent, function, and ritual. Rooted in reverence for handcrafted work and ancient tradition, each piece is a celebration of the living intelligence of nature and the quiet beauty that emerges when materials are honored with care. From perfumes and rose-petal malas to bespoke wooden furniture and birdhouses, every creation is an expression of patient devotion, and love.

We offer solid perfumes and massage oils blended with the highest-quality essential oils sourced from India, Indonesia, and Canada, presented in hand-carved wooden jars. We also create a variety of malas—devotional prayer tools—crafted as bracelets and necklaces from handmade rose-petal and sandalwood beads.

In addition, we produce handcrafted woodwork from local materials such as wild driftwood, fir, wild cherry, and cedar. From whimsical birdhouses and rustic chairs to one-of-a-kind custom furniture, each piece is an homage to the wild beauty of Canada’s West Coast. We also manufacture seasonal wreaths that weave together fresh bows of cedar, fir, & juniper, and other wild grasses and plants. 

 

Founded by artist and builder Martin Labelle, Laughing Gods is an extension of his lifelong love and reverence for the natural world.
